What is coaching?

Coaching is a powerful, collaborative relationship between a coach and a willing individual or group, which enables through a process of discovery, goal setting, and strategic changes and actions, the realisation of new behaviours and extraordinary results.

Coaching is also a body of knowledge, a technology, and a style of relating that focuses on the development of human potential. Coaching is inter-developmental in that the collaboration develops both the individual being coached and the coach.

What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy focuses on exploring, healing and recovery from ones past or treatment of mental illness.

Coaching focuses on accessing internal resources and developing skills and behaviours for successful attainment of agreed goals and outcomes.

What is the difference between training and coaching?

Each coaching relationship is powered and supported by its own unique dynamic and synergy. No two relationships are alike, even if clients are working towards the same outcomes.

You as the client drive and determine the outcomes and scope of the relationship. We drive rhythm and tempo of the sessions. Together we work to achieve your desired outcomes.

All coaching sessions or program commence with an initial introduction to coaching and a session clarifying the outcomes and scope of the coaching relationship.

Between sessions you will be required to practice your new skills or behaviour and take action towards your goals.

How are coaching programs structured?

Clients have the choice of embarking upon individual and/or group coaching, with a choice of either freestyle or process coaching within a program or session format.

Freestyle coaching works towards agreed outcomes in agreed timeframes, without structure or a set programme. Freestyle coaching suits individuals & groups who like to leave their options open and the freedom to creatively work towards their goals.

Process coaching works towards agreed outcomes in agreed timeframes, following a proven coaching methodology and program. Process coaching suits individuals & groups who like to systematically work towards their goals step by step.

Each program is designed for the individual needs of each person or group and the agreed outcomes of the coaching relationship. Most coaching relationships span over a 3-6 month time frame, and will be one of or a combination of the following:

Phone Coaching - sessions over the telephone
Face to Face Coaching - sessions face to face with your coach
Email Coaching - an ongoing coaching conversation via email
One on One Coaching - individual coaching
Group Coaching - more than one person in a session

Session times can range from, 20 mins, 45 mins, 1 hour, 1.5 hrs, 2 hrs, 3 hrs, half day and full day. Frequencies of session can range between, weekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly.
